Protocol ESPA 4.4.4 and ESPA-X in conjunction with fire alarm technology

Already in the 80s was an interface defined, that enables the exchange of information between various technical equipment using a standardized protocol. The ESPA 4.4.4-protocol establishes such a communication via serial interfaces. Various paging systems (for example light call-, paging-, pager-, telecommunication- and other systems) already have such interfaces to receive information.

With the continuous development of fire alarm technology and peripheral devices, opened up low-cost solutions for connection of fire detection systems to paging systems based on the ESPA 4.4.4 –espa-Kompendium protocol.

Modern central fire alarm systems (FCP) provide their information via wire-saving serial interfaces. These system-specific information will be converted by a data converter and adapted accordingly.

With our new ESPA 4.4.4 compendium we want to provide solutions for planners, installers and the fire brigade, that are characterized by high reliability and simple, cost-effective and flexible interface.

Since 2010, IFAM is working in the interest-community of the industry for the future standard espa-x.
