Interconnection of old and new type of fire indication systemsVdS 2878 in conjunction with DIN 14675, Appendix 1 is the basis of multi-vendor interconnection of fire brigade periphery (interconnection of old and new type of fire indication systems). The redundant design of signal lines and power supply is needed as a technical prerequisite for networking and to achieve a high security entitlement.
The IFAM module system of multi-vendor network essentially consists of the following modules:
